Guidance for All Businesses
The Arizona Department of Health Services announced enhanced guidance for establishments to limit congregating and enforce virus mitigation policies.
Restrictions on organized public events are lifted; business guidance transitions from requirements to recommendations
As Arizona met important public health benchmarks, Governor Ducey provided updates to the state’s COVID-19 measures for events, businesses and local ordinances. All business guidance will transition from requirements to recommendations. Businesses are still equipped with the ability to continue to require masks and social distancing.
Occupancy percentage limitations expire. All businesses must continue to implement physical distancing and mask protocols.
Governor Ducey announces new requirements for all businesses operating a physical location in Arizona and in accordance with a new Executive Order.
Guidance for all businesses includes:
Businesses shall develop, establish, implement and enforce policies that adopt federal and state guidance including hygiene and sanitation practices, physical distancing requirements, requiring face coverings when physical distancing is not feasible and symptom screening for employees.
Expansion of Premises and Outdoor Dining Programs
Glendale Restaurant Extension of Premises
The City of Glendale is allowing restaurants to expand serving areas to create more space between diners. The permit will cover 180 days.
Goodyear Temporary Tent/Outdoor Dining
The City of Goodyear will allow outdoor dining expansions for food establishments. Permits are free and will end upon termination of the COVID-19 Declaration of Emergency.
Scottsdale Fees for Special Events
The City of Scottsdale approved temporary fee reductions for special event applications and permits, added a new fee for use of public space, and suspended enforcement of special event regulations until May 31, 2021.
Yuma Permit for Temporary Expansion of Premises
Businesses currently under Executive Order closures or limited capacity may apply for an expansion permit extending their operations to outdoor areas.
